I'll start by admitting I am new to brow mapping. My eyebrows have thinned with age and the 90s plucking trend, so I was hoping to at least map them so I can figure out where to trim and pluck. Ideally, I'd love to get to a point where I can laminate and dye them since it's difficult to find someone who dyes blond brows with subtle tints. I followed the QR code directions, which led me to an Instagram video on how to use the ink, ruler and brushes. Essentially, you paint the white ink around your brows, and while the ruler makes it somewhat easier, the brushes do a much better job of distributing the ink and can be used alone. If the intent was to make it easier to see errant hairs, it didn't work for me. I find it more effective to apply a darker brow wax and pluck the dark hairs, which I can see against my fair skin. I struggle to see how this is called mapping when no measurements are taken, and the ink isn't applied relative to your pupil, inner corner, or outer corner. I had also purchased this company's mapping string, which I used on my other eye so you can see the difference. Priced at $20, this set is much more expensive than others like it, though today there is a coupon that cuts it by 50%, which would be worth it if you want to try it.

I got this because I wanted a better way to map out my brows and make sure they were actually even before shaping or filling them in. Everything came neatly packaged, and the kit includes the white brow mapping ink, the mapping ruler and two angled brushes.The directions are clear and explain how to use everything, but I will say there is definitely a learning curve. It took me quite a bit of practice to figure out the measurements and where I wanted my starting point, arch and tail to be. That's more about learning how to brow map than an issue with the kit itself.The white pigment works really well for marking everything out and is easy to see against my skin. The ruler is flexible enough to position around the brow area, and I like having two different sized angled brushes for more precise work.Once I got the hang of it, it made it much easier to see where my brows were uneven before I started working on them. Just don't expect to be a brow-mapping expert on the first try. It takes some practice, but the kit itself works exactly as intended and gives you everything you need to get started.
So the brushes are excellent because they’re nice and thin and can really make a crisp line for mapping with the white juice. I call the white mapping liquid juice.The white juice applies to the edge of the curved ruler pretty easily and can then be pressed to the brows. This is not a foolProof method because you do still have to pay attention and visually map/make symmetric on a client. However it does have potential to help some artists who have trouble with string mapping.I’m a firm believer to try as many methods as you want until you find something you like, cause each method has its place with certain clients. This one will too.
The ink is very pigmented! The brushes are soft. You can be as precise as you want to be with this kit. It also comes with instructions to use it, which is very nice.

I have very pale eyebrows so I dye them to avoid looking eybrowless. Normally I just wing it and put the dye where it looks like it should go, occasionally holding a makeup brush up to see if I'm too far in or out, but have always wanted to try doing it "right." With this kit, I can. The ruler is the perfect size for the job, not too big, so it won't take up too much space in my vanity table. The chalk goes on the ruler easily so long as you follow the instructions to shake it first then start with the point of the ruler. Then the chalk transfers easy-peasy to your skin, leaving relatively sharp and straight lines. You could probably get sharper lines using string on another person, but that would be way too awkward for me to do on myself, so this ruler is perfect. The kit includes directions for how to map out your brows so you get the scientifically perfect shape. My brows have never looked better! The powder brushes off pretty easily off bare pale skin, not sure how it would do if you were wearing makeup already, especially if you had darker skin, and wanted to use this to draw on your brows. But for my purposes of dyeing my brows, or if you're lucky enough to have thick brows and want to line them to know where to pluck, it's great on bare skin.

So I’m not a big eyebrow person or makeup person but my sister-in-law is so I went ahead and got this little eyebrow set so that she could help me learn how to do mine correctly when she comes to visit. It is a small little set, but it’s inclusive and has everything that we need. She does professional make up and was very impressed when she saw this little set. Unfortunately she did take the little pink ruler measurement thing which is fine cause I probably won’t use it for anything else, but she was very excited to use it so that she could measure the makeup on the eyebrows as specifically as possible, which she enjoys. Again, I don’t know much about makeup or anything, but the people that are in my life that do know about makeup said this was a really great little set.
Like most people, I have eyebrows that are similar, but not totally symmetrical, so drawing them on can be hard because they end up looking completely different. I dye them because I am blonde and they are very light. This kit lets you map out the shape easily and it uses white so it's visible and easy to fill in between the lines afterwards. The other plus is it protects my skin from the dye so that way the edges stay nice as well. If you do your eyebrows at home this is a must have because it simplifies things a lot so you're not just eyeballing it every time.

This is a string-free brow mapping kit, although I like to think of it more as a curved brow mapping tool. The kit comes with a small curved guide, an ink roller, and a couple of brushes. There is enough ink in the roller to last a while I’ve used it quite a few times already.I will say there’s definitely a learning curve, pun intended! I tried finding tutorials before using it, but I only came across one video, and it was really quick and didn’t explain much. After a little trial and error, I came up with my own method that works well for creating a basic outline of my brows. Personally, I don’t think I’d use this on a client or for professional brow mapping. I still prefer using string when I need the most precise results. But for at-home use and getting a general brow shape, this tool gets the job done.

Measuring your browns out actually makes a difference and I didn't think I had an issue until I started trying this. It has made a big improvement on my brow method and I couldn't believe how much more symmetrical everything could look. It helps give professional results at home in an affordable way. I like this a lot better than the pigmented string method. There's a lotttt of liquid in the bottle so I don't see myself running out anytime soon.It's simple to understand and was much easier for me to use than trying to hold and position those messy strings. The roller makes it easy to lay down clean mapping lines, and the white ink shows up really well without being difficult to remove afterward. Everything wiped off easily when I was done.The two angled brushes were a nice addition too. They work well for sharpening up lines and adding a little extra precision where needed. also great for cleaning up small mistakes.I've been using this while trying to slowly get my brows a bit more even and symmetrical & it's definitely helped. If you've struggled with the string method or just want something easier to work with, I think this is a great alternative.
